This is the finished king size Quilt of Champions that I made.
There are 28 champion pictures on the quilt. The rest of the blocks are a nine patch.
It is a huge quilt!
Notice the dog bones on the green sashing
and on each cornerstone there is a curled tail, like the pugs tail
Also, inside the block is a celtic quilt design.
I entered this quilt in the Annual Auction that took place Sept. 18, 2004 at the Pug Nationals,WA.
The winner of the quilt was Rosemary Robles of Pocket Pugs, in Northern CA.
It is 64 1/2 x74 1/2. It can fit the top of a full/queen size bed.
The pattern is called the rail fence pattern.
It has a lot of piecing involved in it.
The actual quilting has roses in the design.
The backing is a fabric that has small roses in the design
Beautiful colors of sage green, rose, colors, gold, and butter yellow.
The money went to Pug Health.for PDCA.
This is a lovely Blended Quilt, measuring 34'x35"
The pattern is called Simple Gifts.
This quilt contains elements of low contrast which allow for luxurious textures of red, browns, paisley and toile.
